Peppa Pig: The Golden Boots

This Valentine’s day was the first one I got to really celebrate with LO. Mostly because last year’s one he was too young to go anywhere or do anything with.

We went with my fellow yummy mummies and their little ones to Cineworld at The O2. Getting there wasn’t too bad for us without a pram as it’s so close to home and also, I want to start encouraging LO to walk about more when we’re outside.

Peppa Pig: The Golden Boots had just been released and I was relatively surprised it wasn’t as busy as I had thought it would be (better for us!). The ‘movie’ was made up of 10 different episodes of Peppa Pig and her family and a special showing of the Golden Boots episode.

The show also included scenes of the presenters you’d see on channel 5’s Milkshake encouraging both kids and parents to sing along and participate. I thought this was a nice touch as it made the cinema experience more fun for the kids and gave their eyes a little break.

LO sat through the whole thing like an angel and only at the end of the movie did he start to get hyperactive (probably from all the sugar in the popcorn, sweets and juice). All in all, it was a great morning out then we had a pleasant journey home on the bus. LO had fallen asleep by the time we got home so I had 2hrs of peace and quiet all to myself… Heavenly!
